Coronavirus Update/ Returning to the Office: AEI's is in the process of preparing our office for staff to return on a modified schedule, providing the City of Boston re-opening guidelines continue to move forward. During quarantine, AEI's staff have successfully worked remotely. Every staff member is equipped with the same equipment at home as they have in the office to ensure efficiency and seamless transitions between workstations. We will continue to work remotely and will provide a formal reopening date when it's available. At this time, only staff will be allowed in our space. Jeff Manning Joins AEI as Electrical Department Head06/29/2020
BOSTON - Architectural Engineers, Inc. (AEI), a WBE/DBE mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection (MEP/FP), and lighting design services firm in Boston, announced that Jeffrey Manning, PE, LEED AP has joined the firm as its electrical department head. Jeff is a registered electrical engineer with 16 years of experience in the building industry.
Jeff specializes in the design of emergency power generation, roadway and site lighting, power, interior lighting, life safety and fire alarm systems. He works extensively on LEED projects, master plans, existing condition reports, and design projects through construction administration. The electrical department head position requires him to play an integral role in departmental operations, engineering, and project management activities. He is responsible for design, review, and oversight of the electrical engineering group, including review of final submittals and design documents.

Jeff joins us at an exciting time as the needs of our electrical engineering group require an integrated technical expert and departmental manager,” said Nick Ferzacca, PE, LEED AP, chief electrical engineer. “Jeff’s experience as a senior electrical engineer in the Boston market makes him ideal for stepping in and running both the department and our ongoing projects.”
Jeff received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Vermont. He is currently engaged with several projects for the MBTA, Massport, the MSBA, the University of Massachusetts, and DCAMM.
