Corona Virus Update: Due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19, Architectural Engineers’ staff will work remotely beginning Wednesday March 18th. Our staff is well prepared to work remotely during this time and we do not anticipate issues with meeting commitments and deadlines. Please note, we will be available via mobile phones and email during this time. If an in-person meeting is required, please coordinate as far in advance as possible and follow the guidelines of the CDC to maintain health and safety for all. Claiborne Pell Mansion, Newport, R.I.
Selection of systems was planned to be as unobtrusive as possible in keeping with historic architecture.
Architectural Engineers provided design and construction administration services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering for the Pell Mansion for the Newport Preservation Society. The Pell Mansion is the former childhood home of Senator Claiborne Pell and it has been adapted to be the Administrative Offices of the Newport Preservation Society. All new utilities were brought in for the project and sensitive environmental controls were necessary to preserve historic fabrics such as tapestries.
