Coronavirus Update/ Returning to the Office: AEI now IMEG is in the process of preparing our office for staff to return on a modified schedule, providing the City of Boston re-opening guidelines continue to move forward. During quarantine, AEI now IMEG's staff have successfully worked remotely. Every staff member is equipped with the same equipment at home as they have in the office to ensure efficiency and seamless transitions between workstations. We will continue to work remotely and will provide a formal reopening date when it's available. At this time, only staff will be allowed in our space. Our contact information and policies on in person meetings and site visits remain the same as they have since early March. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions.

Weston DPW, Weston, Mass.

The Weston DPW project was honored with a project achievement award by the Construction Management Association of America, New England Chapter.

AEI provided all MEP/FP design and CA services for the demolition and reconstruction of the Weston DPW. The new, two-building facility includes an 18,400 SF vehicle equipment operations garage with a vehicle wash bay and vehicle and equipment storage spaces, and a 23,500 SF operations building with administrative offices, employee support spaces, workshops, and vehicle maintenance operations areas. The site contains parking, a fueling facility, and a material storage bin area. AEI incorporated acoustic criteria into the mechanical equipment designs to mitigate noise impact in adjacent residential areas and designed a geothermal HVAC system to reduce energy costs by 18%. AEI also designed radiant heating in the maintenance and storage areas, energy recovery rooftop units, daylighting, and a waste oil supplemental heating system.
