Coronavirus Update/ Returning to the Office: AEI's is in the process of preparing our office for staff to return on a modified schedule, providing the City of Boston re-opening guidelines continue to move forward. During quarantine, AEI's staff have successfully worked remotely. Every staff member is equipped with the same equipment at home as they have in the office to ensure efficiency and seamless transitions between workstations. We will continue to work remotely and will provide a formal reopening date when it's available. At this time, only staff will be allowed in our space. Our contact information and policies on in person meetings and site visits remain the same as they have since early March. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions.

AEI performed parking lot, site and roadway lighting for the Case House parking area, inner pedestrian loop, and landscaping, that includes uplighting of trees in the arboretum area. The Weston Case campus includes a community center, library, field house, parking lots, and walking paths for this suburban elementary school
AEI provided plumbing and fire protection design and CA for the new construction of a middle and high school in Lunenburg. The project includes a full kitchen/cafeteria, science laboratories, restrooms, locker and shower rooms, and an early work package for underslab piping. AEI reviewed and approved the cost estimate for plumbing and fire protection systems.
AEI provided MEP and lighting design and CA for documenting and specifying all work associated with replacing two hot water oil-fired boilers, fuel pumps and piping inside the boiler room. Through the MSBA ARP program, AEI replaced existing rooftop units and roof drains, extended and rerouted mounted piping to support the roof replacement, added electrical service receptacles and outdoor lighting, and provided power to new and reinstalled mechanical equipment. AEI also investigated options to replace a gas-fired hot water boiler and all auxiliary mechanical equipment.
